NORTH WALES WILDLIFE TRUST: On Thursday, December 5 at 2.15pm in St Cyngar’s Church Hall, Llangefni, the “Windows on Wildlife” talk will be “Four go flower hunting in Gargano. The Reeses and Robertsons will describe a recent visit to this orchid-rich national park and surroundin­g area in southern Italy. Admission £2 includes tea/coffee and mince pies.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: The Christmas lighting up will take place on Friday, December 6, at 4-6.30pm, with the lights being switched on at 6pm. Father Christmas will be in his grotto in the Town Hall, stewarded by the Rotary Club. Entry will be £1 which includes a small gift. There will also be real reindeer, a red lorry, fairground rides, food vendors and a craft fair. Thanks to all the local businesses who have been generous in funding this event.
