Georgia tours in support of album
WELSH folk singer Georgia Ruth will be on tour during March in support of the release of her third album, Mai, with gigs in Aberystwyth, Chester and Bangor, and will also be at Ty Pawb, Wrexham on Saturday, May 9 as part of the Focus Wales Festival.
She will be at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Sunday, March 22 at 5.45pm, with support from Toby Hay.
On Friday, March 27, she will be at The Live Rooms, Chester, with support from Golden Fable and Mountainface.
On Saturday, March 28, she will be at Pontio, Bangor, in a relaxed, cabaret-style event.
Georgia Ruth is a musician from Aberystwyth whose debut album Week of
Pines won the Welsh Music Prize in 2013 and was nominated for two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
She collaborated with The Manic Street Preachers on their 2014 album Futurology before releasing her second album, Fossil Scale in 2016.
Georgia has also collaborated with 2017 Welsh Music Prize winner, The Gentle Good and with Gwyneth Glyn and Tauseef Akhtar on their 2016 project, Ghazalaw, to name a few.
Her album, Mai, with songs about new motherhood and the search for ritual, and being lost and found again, is available through Bubblewrap Records.
