Ge­or­gia tours in sup­port of al­bum

WELSH folk singer Ge­or­gia Ruth will be on tour dur­ing March in sup­port of the re­lease of her third al­bum, Mai, with gigs in Aberys­t­wyth, Ch­ester and Ban­gor, and will also be at Ty Pawb, Wrex­ham on Satur­day, May 9 as part of the Fo­cus Wales Fes­ti­val.

She will be at the Aberys­t­wyth Arts Cen­tre on Sun­day, March 22 at 5.45pm, with sup­port from Toby Hay.

On Fri­day, March 27, she will be at The Live Rooms, Ch­ester, with sup­port from Golden Fa­ble and Moun­tain­face.

On Satur­day, March 28, she will be at Pon­tio, Ban­gor, in a re­laxed, cabaret-style event.

Ge­or­gia Ruth is a musician from Aberys­t­wyth whose de­but al­bum Week of

Pines won the Welsh Mu­sic Prize in 2013 and was nom­i­nated for two BBC Ra­dio 2 Folk Awards.

She col­lab­o­rated with The Manic Street Preach­ers on their 2014 al­bum Fu­tur­ol­ogy be­fore re­leas­ing her sec­ond al­bum, Fos­sil Scale in 2016.

Ge­or­gia has also col­lab­o­rated with 2017 Welsh Mu­sic Prize win­ner, The Gen­tle Good and with Gwyneth Glyn and Tauseef Akhtar on their 2016 project, Ghaz­a­law, to name a few.

Her al­bum, Mai, with songs about new moth­er­hood and the search for rit­ual, and be­ing lost and found again, is avail­able through Bub­blewrap Records.
