Pen­sioner ‘hit in back of head with plank’ and badly in­jured in attack on road:

PO­LICE have is­sued an ap­peal for in­for­ma­tion after a pen­sioner sus­tained a se­ri­ous head in­jury dur­ing an at­tack.

The as­sault took place be­tween 4pm and 4:15 pm on Thurs­day, April 9 on the B5109 road be­tween Llangefni and Bodf­fordd, pic­tured.

The 65-year-old vic­tim is be­lieved to have been at­tacked with a wooden plank. Po­lice be­lieve his at­tacker hit him across the back of his head.

Due to the sever­ity of his in­juries, the vic­tim was hos­pi­talised.

The at­tacker is said to have been driv­ing a beige/ sil­ver/ grey jeep type ve­hi­cle.

Po­lice are ap­peal­ing to wit­nesses in and around the area who may have in­for­ma­tion or dash­cam footage which could help iden­tify the man.
