‘Brazen’ shoplifter locked up
A ‘BRAZEN’ shoplifter was caught taking items out of shops on several occasions in bin bags and a pram.
Kelly Bates, 32, targeted Tesco and B&M stores in North Wales, Llandudno Magistrates Court heard.
A district judge has jailed her for 20 weeks after her crimes activated a suspended sentence.
The prosecution said mum-of-four Bates stole goods worth £150 from the B&M store in Holyhead in October.
She had ‘brazenly loaded items into black bin bags.’
Then days later she visited the Tesco in Holyhead on October 23.
She took items worth £123.28 away in an empty pram. She later left the pram at the scene. On October 29 she took £291 worth of items from her local Tesco.
Bates, of Ffordd Beibio, Holyhead, was later arrested and later pleaded guilty to shoplifting.
