Three year groups and staff isolate
CHILDREN from three year groups at a Gwynedd primary school are isolating following a positive coronavirus result.
Youngsters in years four, five and six, as well as relevant staff, at Ysgol Llanllechid in Rachub are isolating after a child at the school tested positive.
A spokesman for Gwynedd Council said: “We can confirm a pupil from Ysgol Llanllechid has tested positive for coronavirus. “We are following Public Health Wales advice and the relevant pupils (years 4, 5 and 6 bubbles) and staff who are contacts to the individual are self-isolating for 14 days.
“The school has acted as quickly as possible and will be working closely with the local Test, Trace and Protect service to provide information to families.
“We send our best wishes to the pupil and urge those contacted by the Test, Trace and Protect service to follow the advice provided for the safety of family and the local community.”
The council added that anybody who develops coronavirus symptoms should isolate and immediately request a test by calling 119 or visiting www.gov.wales/ apply-coronavirus-covid-19-test.
