MOMENT COPS STOP CAR IN CHILD KIDNAP PROBE
THIS is the dramatic moment armed police boxed in a car on the motorway after reports a child was kidnapped at knifepoint from Gaerwen on Anglesey.
Northamptonshire Police has released video footage (inset) showing three police vehicles blocking in a car on the M1 near Milton Keynes on November 4.
On Twitter, the force’s armed response unit said: “A vehicle was identified as involved in a serious incident in North Wales. ARVs located it and used a TPaC three car box to safely stop it. Four suspects were arrested from within.”
Six people have since been charged in relation to the incident and appeared at Llandudno Magistrates
Court last Monday.
The defendants are alleged to have “unlawfully and by force or fraud took or carried away a child against his will”. Wilfred Wong, 55, of Pied Bull Court, Galen Place, Camden, London, is also charged with possessing a knife. No formal pleas were entered. The other defendants are Jane Claire Going-Hill, 59, of Pump Street, Holyhead; Robert Frith, 65, a former psychiatric nurse of Tyn Parc, Holyhead; Anke Hill, 50, of Cae Glas, Holyhead; Edward Stevenson, 68, of Parnell Close, Maidenbower, Crawley, West Sussex; Janet Stevenson, 66, a charity counsellor, of Parnell Close, Maidenbower, Crawley, West Sussex.
