Co-op store relaunches after a £1.1m revamp

-

CO-OP relaunched its Llanfairpwll supermarket last week following a £1.1m investment.

The 9,000 sq ft Holyhead Road store which supports 27 local jobs has undergone a nine week revamp - with the shop kept open during the project.

It was formally relaunched on Friday and its new facilities include an enhanced bakery, hot food section and homeware.

The site is also going to auction next year.

It had been due to go under the hammer this month but was withdrawn due to a legal matter. Co-op has a lease on the site until 2035.

Tom Deakin, Co-op store manager, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in the store - it really does have a great look and feel.

“We have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services that will create a really compelling offer and enable the store team to serve the community quickly, easily, safely and, conveniently.”
