Read your cow’s body language

-

A special webinar will help dairy farmers learn how to observe the body language of their livestock and translate it to herd management.

Hosted by Dutch vet Joep Driessen for Farming Connect, the webinar will take place on Thursday (November 19) from 7.30pm-8.30pm.

Joep believes that reading a cow’s body language is important for the best performing farmers, helping to improve longevity and performance.

The webinar will enable farmers to be more aware of key physical signs in their cows. It will be linked to an update from Erw Fawr, a Farming Connect demonstration site near Holyhead.

Rhys Davies, Farming Connect’s dairy technical officer, said:

“It will encourage farmers to look, think and act on what the cow is showing.

“Joep will explain why, when observing cows, farmers should ask themselves what do I see, why has this happened and what does it mean?”

To take part in the webinar, register your interest by 3pm on the day by emailing delyth. evans@menterabusnes. co.uk.
