WOMANKILLED IN A55 BRIDGE TRAGEDY

48-year-old dies in Anglesey ‘incident’

A WOMAN has died following an “incident” on a bridge over the A55.

North Wales Police confirmed last Wednesday that a 48-year-old woman was killed following the incident near Llangefni on Sunday November 15.

A police spokesman said: “We received a call at 9.25am on Sunday 15 November regarding an incident on the bridge at junction 6 of the A55 near Llangefni. “Sadly a 48-year-old woman died in the incident, and the local coroner has been informed.”

The road was closed in both directions following the tragedy with drivers urged to avoid the area.
