Chippies in UK top 50

THREE fish and chip shops from North Wales have been named in a list of the UK’s top 50 fish and chip takeaways.

Two chippies from Anglesey and one from Flintshire feature in Fry Magazine’s top 50 Best Fish & Chip Takeaways 2021 awards.

The awards were decided following unannounced visits to chippies which were marked on over 40 aspects of their business including Covid safe practices.

However, the food remained the main focus.

Holyhead’s Chippy Chippy, Flint’s The Crescent Fish and Chip Shop, and Benllech’s The Golden Fry were all named in the UK’s top 50 fish and chip takeaways.
