Green stars with the ball as Higham win to move into promotion places

■ Skelly carries bat as Monk Bretton chase 212 for victory ■ Bridge clear of drop zone after two-wicket away success

HIGHAM won by nine runs against Maltby in Division Four to move into the promotion places.

Joseph Green took five wickets to bowl Maltby out for 153.

Higham are now in the third of three promotion places.

Silkstone United dismissed Cawthorne 2nd XI for 100 in a six-wicket win.

Luke Whitmore and Edward Driver took four wickets each.

Houghton Main were bowled out for 89 chasing 236 at Aston Hall in the

Championsh­ip.

Green Moor lost by 43 runs to Wickersley, who were eight for four and 59 for seven but recovered to make 196.

Green Moor’s Jonathan Sanders took five wickets and Jake Rodgers three then Wayne Hughes cracked eight sixes in his 88 off 59 balls.

Wath lost by a wicket to Shiregreen. Bradley Williams (56) led Wath to 215 then Rob Barlow and Shawn Hopkins took three wickets each.

But Shiregreen’s last pair added 27 including a six with the scores level in the penultimat­e over.

Rockingham’s 149 was not enough in a three-wicket loss to Sheffield Collegiate 2nd XI.

Aquib Shaikh took four wickets and Jawad Akhtar three.

Bilal Imtiaz made 51 but Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI were dismissed for 149 in a four-wicket home loss to Conisbroug­h.

Darfield were bowled out for 136 in a five-wicket loss at Whitley Hall in

Division One.

Carlton Dickinson took four wickets.

Monk Bretton chased 212 to win by three wickets at Wickersley in Division Two. Ryan Haworth and Ashley Clayton took three wickets each then Lewis Skelly carried his bat with 88 not out.

It was a second successive win for the Monks, who are third-bottom and 16 points from safety.

Penistone were dismissed for 131 in a six-wicket loss at Ackworth.

Worsbrough Bridge chased 162 for a two-wicket win at Thorncliff­e and Wentworth.

Jabaar Khan took three wickets then he and James Kennedy secured the win after Bridge fell to 84 for seven.

Worsbrough are now fourth-bottom, 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Kexborough were skittled for 120 in a ten-wicket loss to Oughtibrid­ge.

Wath 2nd XI dismissed Bradfield for 109 in an eight-wicket win.

Mark Wilson took four wickets.

Elsecar 2nd XI lost for the first time this season, falling 12 runs short chasing 131 against Parkhead.

Matt Tonks took five wickets.

Wombwell Main fell off the top of

Division Five after losing to Doncaster Town 3rd XI who replaced them.

Joe Armitage took three wickets then Tom Goldsby-West was out for 98 as Wombwell fell 16 runs short chasing 213.

Darfield 2nd XI won by 80 runs over Sheffield University Staff.

Arsalan Khalid made 64 in Darfield’s

216 then Charlie Potter took four wickets.

Harley dismissed Monk Bretton 2nd XI for 107 in an eight-wicket Division Seven win. Lee Moxon took four wickets and Jamie Oliver three then Tom Wade hit 60 off 45 balls with seven fours and a six.

Paul Wroe made 56 not as Higham 2nd XI chased 144 for a two-wicket win over Millhouses Works 2nd XI.

Dearne lost by 123 runs to Houghton Main 2nd XI in Division Eight.

Luke Copley took three wickets for Dearne, but Houghton’s Tahir Nawaz hit 61 in their 243 then Kyle Head took five for 17.

Enzo Campagna made 59 as

Rockingham 3rd XI chased 139 for a four-wicket win over Doncaster Town

4th XI.

Wombwell Main 2nd XI dismissed

Kexborough 2nd XI for 109 in an eight-wicket Division Nine win.

Prasath Selvarajah made 52 for Kexborough but Henry Skelton took four for ten then Josh May hit 53 not out.

Back in Division Four, Rockingham

2nd XI lost by 62 runs against Stocksbrid­ge, who made 195.

Ryan Whitehouse took four wickets.
