‘Don’t miss shot at credit help’

-

AGE UK Barnsley is urging all pensioners on a low income to put in a claim for Pension Credit.

Failing to put a claim in by the deadline could see residents missing out on £650 of extra help towards the cost of living.

A spokesperson added: “Older people have until Thursday August 18 to put in a claim for Pension Credit in order to qualify for the Government’s £650 cost-of-living payment.

“To make a claim for Pension Credit, people should call the DWP Pension Credit claim line direct on 0800 99 1234 or visit www.gov.uk/pension-credit/how-toclaim.

“If you’re struggling with your bills at the minute please contact our information and advice service on 776820.”
