Can you help fill in the gaps in my family tree?

My name is Geoffrey Sykes and I was born in Lockwood near Huddersfield and I am doing my family tree.

I am writing in the hope to get in touch with anyone who might have known Arnold W Jones and Marion Jones.

Arnold Jones passed away on June 18, 1963, aged 63, and Marion died on August 3, 1988, aged 80.

Both died at 87 Pleasant View on Darfield Road in Cudworth, Barnsley.

Are there relatives who are still living in the area of Barnsley able to help me?

Marion Jones was a step-sister to my father, who is Norman Sykes of Huddersfield – Norman was one of nine children.

My father never mentioned Marion in all the years I was at home.

My father died in 1997 and was cremated also.

Now I have found records of all my family, except Marion Sykes, now Mrs Jones, of Darfield Road.

Albert and Marion got married on June 3, 1933, in Ardsley Church.

They had two children – Kathleen Jones, born in 1933, I think she was married to a Mr Tolans.

She died in 2003 – and a son, Kenneth Jones, who was born in 1939. I don’t know when he passed away.

When Marion passed away, her death was registered by a son, Kenneth Jones, of 11 Emsley Avenue.

If you are reading this letter and can help me to locate any of the Jones family, then you would be helping me complete my family tree, plus I would be grateful to know all the family of Marion.
