Museum staff put best foot forward
BARNSLEY Museums have donated more than £1,200 to support the Ukraine appeal after taking part in a sponsored walk.
Staff from Barnsley Museums joined in with Barnsley’s Walking Festival at Cannon Hall earlier this year.
They raised a total of £1,285 which will help go towards supporting Ukrainian museum professionals in Poland.
Jude Holland, learning manager at Barnsley Museums, said: “It was fantastic to get together with colleagues, for the first time altogether since the pandemic, exploring local heritage sites and to raise money to support our Ukrainian colleagues who have been through so much in the last few months and years.”
