Shutt and Brunt play in domestic competitions
BARNSLEY cricketers Jack Shutt and Katherine Brunt have been involved in top domestic competitions this week.
Shutt, a 25-year-old spinner from Elsecar, played for Yorkshire CCC in their One Day Cup game against Essex in Chelmsford on Wednesday.
He took two for 55 then Yorkshire were well behind on the Duckworth Lewis System on 76 for six chasing 240.
That left them fourth in the table, with three going through to the quarter-finals.
They are due to visit Kent today, Derbyshire on Sunday and then complete their season at home to Hampshire in Scarborough on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Brunt has been playing for Trent Rockets in The Hundred.
They have won one of three games this week, with the Dodworth woman taking no wickets.
