September open day for fire station

AN open day will take place at Barnsley Fire Station.

Kicking off at 10am on Broadway on Sunday, September 4, there will be demonstrations such as a chip pan fire and a traffic collision simulation, as well as a chance to meet the crews and see their equipment.

There will also be refreshments, a bouncy castle, stalls and ‘soak a firefighter’.

Doors for the event will close at 4pm.
