Delays on motorway

A COLLISION on the M1 near Barnsley caused major traffic delays yesterday.

There was more than three miles of congestion between junction 36 and junction 37 yesterday morning following a two-car collision.

Traffic was at a standstill until officers could remove the vehicles involved.
