Rubbish fire call Signage plans

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire in Darfield on Wednesday.

The incident, on Barnsley Road, was reported at about 7pm.

The fire was put out and the crew left the scene at 7.30pm.

PLANS to add new signage to a town centre pub have been submitted to the council.

If approved, a replacement hanging signage, LED flood lighting, new decals to ground floor windows and a curved nameboard to the rear of the property will be added to The Courthouse on Regent Street.

A total of 17 neighbours have been made aware of the application with no appeals to date.

Public consultation ends on September 21.
