Signage needs to be improved

A LOCAL MP has raised public concerns regarding line markings and signage at Manvers roundabout.

John Healey, MP for Wentworth and Dearne, has been in contact with Rotherham Council who have said they are investigating the concerns.

John said: “I’ve now received a further update from Rotherham Council to say they have carried out a study looking at how traffic currently uses the roundabout and how best to guide drivers with improved signing and lining.

“Factors had to be looked at including balancing traffic flow queuing on the approach to the roundabout as well as providing new traffic lane guidance to assist when entering, crossing and exiting the roundabout.

“The scheme is now in the final stages of development for improvements and once this is completed, the council say they expect to make the changes as soon as possible.

“I’ll continue to press Rotherham Council and I’ll report back when they have any further updates.”
