New vet plan

A NEW veterinary surgery could be on its way to Penistone if plans are approved by the council.

An application to change the use of a barn, based on Barnsley Road, into a veterinary surgery were submitted to the planning board last month.

Internal and external alterations will also need to be made to the site, should plans be approved.

A total of nine neighbours have been made aware with no appeals to date.

Public consultation ends on September 22.
