Services

There will be a service at St. Peter’s Tankersley at 9.30am on Sunday and at St Paul’s Pilley at 4pm. There will not be a service at Pilley Methodist Church this Sunday. Afternoon Tea continues on Tuesdays at 1pm in the Senior Citizens Room of The

Hub – everyone is welcome for refreshmen­ts, bingo, raffle and a chat.

TPEG (Environmen­t Group)

They continue their good work are keen to welcome new volunteers to contribute to the ongoing projects including: monthly litter picks (Wednesday and Saturday), Dipping

Harvest Social Event

It will be held in Tankersley Hub (Welfare Hall) on Tuesday September 20.

Harvest platters served between 4-6pm followed by live entertainm­ent and licensed bar from 7pm. Tickets available from Janet on 744140 or Joy on 745522. Takeaway platters can be pre-ordered.

Age UK Healthy Living

Sessions for the over 50s are held between 10am-12pm on Wednesday mornings in The Welfare Hall of The Hub.

Activities include armchair exercise and healthy eating.

Halloween Children’s Party Tankersley Community Associatio­n

They are finalising plans to hold an event in The Hub similar to last year’s very popular Halloween Party on Saturday October 29. Admission will be by pre-purchased wrist band which will be available shortly.

Mental Health

DIAL Barnsley have an online mental health support group for men called ‘Men Utd’ which is a safe space where men can speak freely about any worries or concerns that they may have, without the fear of being judged by others. The group aims to provide help and support from men with similar experience­s. All men are welcome to get involved as it gives them the chance to talk about their problems.

The Dearne and District Football Club

The club is offering a community food bank for the vulnerable and for those in need. If you would like some help you can call 0774238524­8.
