Liz helps more than Boris...

The big announcement that energy bills will be capped at £2,500 until the next election is welcome news.

Liz Truss was elected as Prime Minister on Tuesday, and she’s already done more to help Barnsley than Boris Johnson did in his three-year tenure.

I’m not a supporter of the Conservative Party, nor am I of any political party for that matter, but it’s a step in the right direction for people here in the town.

Let’s hope she can continue in this vein and keep supporting Barnsley.

Hopefully this will give residents more money in their pocket, potentially lowering the use of foodbanks. On that topic, Barnsley Foodbank Partnership will be collecting tomorrow at Oakwell.
