Work on M1

SPEED restrictions will be in place on the M1 near Barnsley tonight – and they’ll last until next month.

From 8pm to 6am until October 31, the M1 – both northbound and southbound between junction 36 and 37 – will have carriageway and lane closures for bridge works.

These include narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction.

A diversion route will be in place.
