Fundraising day success at therapy service

-

A THERAPY service held its first fundraising open day earlier this month.

Equipt Therapeutic Services, in the town centre, invited in residents to raise money for its registered charity.

During the event, locals attended to raise as much money as possible whilst taking a look around the organisation’s facilities.

More than 50 local businesses have supported Equipt’s work by donating prizes and vouchers to help raise funds for the CIC’s community work.

Recently they received Community Fund, Lottery funding to provide art and play therapy for five children who would not normally have been able to access the therapy they need. They have also been raising money for a young boy who has experienced a traumatic event, and at the last count, from raffle ticket sales they raised £1,187.20 towards his therapy.
