Hoyle hits 35-ball century as Swaine beat Thurgoland

NUMBER nine Daniel Hoyle crashed 100 not out off 35 balls with 13 fours and seven sixes in a 240-run win for Hoylandswa­ine over Thurgoland in Division Three West.

Joshua Ibbotson made 74 in Swaine’s 327 then George Pearson took four for two. Curtis Cole made 50 as Thurgoland were bowled out for 87.

Cawthorne posted 215 but hosts Denby won with five balls and two wickets left.

Thom Macrow whacked 92 off 70 balls with ten fours and five sixes then Rory Macrow took four for 14 off eight overs.

Champions Rockingham fell 66 runs short chasing 262 at Oughtibrid­ge.

Jack Riley made 90 off 92 balls with 12 fours and two sixes.

Alfie Gibson carried his bat with

98 not out as Elsecar chased 208 for an eight-wicket win over Sheffield Collegiate in Division One.

Gibson hit 16 fours from his 87 balls and shared an opening stand of 164 with Callum Higgins who added 81 off 55 with seven fours and three sixes.

Darfield defended 146 by bowling out Doncaster Warriors for 119.

Kastun Stoute took five for 13 and Alfie Spurr three for nine.

West Bretton fell two runs short chasing 187 at home to Upper Haugh in

Division Two.

M Wood hit 70 off 49 balls with 11 fours and a six.
