No rush to rebuild bulldozed homes

-

BURNT-down homes on Woodland Drive will not be replaced for the time being, it has been revealed.

At yesterday’s full council meeting, Coun Peter Fielding, who represents the Dodworth ward, raised the question of replacing the council houses on the street.

It was confirmed by Coun Robert Frost that no decisions have been made as of yet. He said: “For the time being, we will be grassing over and gating the site.”

The fire on the hottest day of the year destroyed four homes – with two more badly damaged.
