Interrupti­ons will cost councillor­s

COUNCILLOR­S who interrupt one another at a full council meeting must make a donation to the Mayor of Barnsley’s chosen charity.

Coun Sarah Tattersall has chosen two local charities to support this year during her term as mayor.

These are Hey Let’s Talk, a mental health charity for children and young people, and Romero Communitie­s which provides informatio­n, guidance and advice to support residents with personal welfare and financial issues.

 ?? ?? HANDOVER: Dickie Bird presented a cheque of £1,000 which will help the next generation of cricketers. The retired umpire presented the funding on behalf of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Players’ Associatio­n to the award-winning Yorkshire Cricket College (YCC), based at the Headingley, Leeds, which will go towards a new gym.
