Mayor drops in on pair’s exhibition
MAYOR of Barnsley Sarah Tattersall stopped off at an exhibition at the Cooper Gallery this week.
High Noon to Midnight – by artist Graham Ibbeson and poet Paul Thwaites – has been at the Church Street gallery since July and closes tomorrow.
Whilst recovering from serious illness back in 2019, Graham returned to his love of drawing, and the exhibit features 30 artworks on display for the first time, as well as a further six sculptures.
The mayor stopped off on Monday having missed its opening due to isolating with Covid-19.
Graham said: “We will be giving personal tours of the exhibition to the public from 10.30am until midday tomorrow, which is its final day.”
