-

DARFIELD army cadets are on the hunt for new members.

The group offers children a wide range of army-related activities to get involved in, and gives them the opportunity to gain experience with army practices.

Georgia Lees, commander of Darfield army cadets, said: “We do a wide range of activities including drill, shooting, fieldcraft, navigation, first air, and signals.

“We also run Duke of Edinburgh awards, and teach children a range of life skills, such as confidence, independence, and discipline.”

“The group meets on Mondays and Wednesdays between 7pm and 9pm, for just 50p a night, and is open to children aged 12 to 18 years.”
