Phil completes Three Peaks
OXSPRING cyclist Phil Hinchliffe completed the Three Peaks cyclo-cross race for a 32nd time.
Phil has been competing in the race since 1987 when he was 16.
Dubbed ‘the world’s hardest cyclocross race’, the 38-mile event takes in the three Yorkshire peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.
Phil finished in 70th place in a field of more than 300 riders and placed tenth in the men’s over50 category.
Another local rider, John Tomlinson from Silkstone Common, completed the race for the first time.
