Malpass wins title by point

MARK Malpass retained his title as Premier Engineering AC’s final match of the season was held at Hayfields Lakes held on Dannie’s Island Lake.

A nail-biting finale saw Danny Buxton and Paul Williams push Malpass all the way but he won by a point.

Tony Wroe won on the day as he landed 135lb, 14oz of carp caught on pellets and a slow sinking bomb.

Second place went to Malpass with 103lb, 14oz of carp caught on bomb and pellet.

Third spot went to Ian Green with 96lb, 13oz of carp.

Williams landed 91lb, 9oz.
