Reds 1, Cod Army 2 – February 10, 2015

The defeat that cost Danny Wilson his job. Peter Ramage opened the scoring in the fifth minute but the hosts were 2-1 down after 33 thanks to goals by ‘Fleetwood Macs’ Conor McLaughlin and Liam McAlinden. Fleetwood would return in October and beat Lee Johnson’s Barnsley 1-0 thanks to a major error by Paul Digby.

Cod Army 0, Reds 2 – March 19, 2016

Barnsley had won on penalties at Highbury earlier in the year to reach the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final, with Johnson leaving the following morning. Paul Heckingbot­tom’s side won thanks to defender Joe Davis heading past his goalkeeper in a bad mix-up then Josh Scowen netting with six minutes left.

Cod Army 1, Reds 3 – September 29, 2018

Former Barnsley youngster Harrison Biggins opened the scoring but Jacob Brown and Kieffer Moore put the visitors ahead at the break. Mamadou Thiam delighted the away end with a goal in injury-time.

Reds 4, Cod Army 2 – April 13, 2019

Mike Bahre got his first league goal for Barnsley then Cauley Woodrow doubled the lead. Harry Souttar pulled one back but was sent off seconds later for an elbow on Cameron McGeehan who then made it 3-1. The visitors replied again but Jacob Brown got Barnsley’s fourth. There was an incident in the tunnel at full-time which resulted in Joey Barton being charged with assault. He was cleared in December last year.
