Young midfielder Joe loaned to Guiseley

MIDFIELDER Joe Ackroyd has been loaned out to seventh-tier Guiseley for a month.

The 20-year-old, from Darfield, has made three appearances for his hometown club – all in cups.

Meanwhile, the Reds have signed goalkeeper Paul Cooper.

The 19-year-old had been at nonleague Matlock Town after being in Stoke City’s academy. He was on the bench for last week’s EFL Trophy game against Newcastle under 21s.
