Bans for supporters

MORE than a dozen Barnsley FC fans had been hit with banning orders at the end of last season, new figures have revealed.

There were 13 banning orders in force for Reds’ fans – with three being issued during the club’s relegation campaign last year.

Chief Constable Mark Roberts said: “Disorder is a problem that has not gone away, and throughout the whole of last season we saw an increase in crime at football matches.”
