Tweets of the week
@FOWCemetery No matter where we are and what greenspaces we have nearby, #EveryoneNeedsNature! Wombwell Cemetery looks absolutely beautiful in the autumn, so make sure you spend some time in nature as the greens change to oranges and reds.
@LBofoundation Thank you to the #Barnsley retirement group for inviting Katie and Jane to talk to you and for your lovely donation. @steelcitysnaps Brilliant lunchtime celebrating the life of Barnsley actor Brian Glover with director Ken Loach and star of Kes, David Bradley. A blue plaque was unveiled on the side of Chennells pub. @HighViewY5
Huge congratulations to this wonderful young man, who today received his tie, in recognition of being accepted into Barnsley Boys Football Academy! @Mayor_Barnsley This evening I attended the re-opening of the De Morgan galleries at @CannonHall1760. It was brilliant to see this artwork displayed in all its beauty in such a wonderful building. The exhibition is certainly one not to be missed. @DarcyDarilmaz Lovely first visit to @Cooper Barnsley recently – found it to be a bit of a tardis inside and was pleasantly surprised to discover the little garden at the back.
Barnsley Town Hall also looking grand.
