Care home staff raise charity cash

STAFF from a Hoyland care home have raised more than £1,000 for charity.

The staff from St James’ Court care home joined thousands of others at this year’s Alzheimer’s Society memory walk in honour of residents past and present living with dementia.

The home has a dedicated dementia unit and so the charity is a cause close to their hearts.

Thanks to the support of residents, relatives and families, the team have managed to raise more than £1,000 – and donations are still being counted.
