Ridiculous road works

It’s inexplicable that the council have decided to let so many roadworks take place at numerous sites across the borough at the same time.

Everywhere you go, you’re greeted by temporary traffic lights.

The one on Dodworth Road, just before Shaw Lane, has to be the worst.

Whose idea was it to put them there?

Rush-hour traffic is already a joke, but now you’re stood in gridlock for at least half an hour.

I can only imagine no council employees have to drive home that way, because if they did, then they wouldn’t be in place.

Let’s hope the work is completed soon, or we may as well just live in our cars – that’s how long these journeys are taking.
