£3,000 spent on jubilee events

NEARLY £3,000 was handed out to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in two areas earlier this year.

The Hoyland Milton/Rockingham ward was given £1,286.15 for bunting according to papers released by the South Area Council.

A further £1,700 was allocated for a street event in the Wombwell ward, which was match-funded by £1,383.

A further £1,800 was allocated to the Darfield Gala and £1,899.94 to Darfield Gazebos, this had a match-funding of £822.
