TPEG

Volunteers were nominated for an award in the Penistone Volunteer celebration at Wortley Hall. TPEG were nominated by Twiggs for ongoing work they do in Pilley and Tankersley to maintain the local environment. This work included keeping footpaths open by clearing brambles, nettles and fallen trees throughout lockdown. This was to ensure that people could get ‘head space’ and to walk freely in nature. This was seen as particularly important during lockdown. Last weekend 16 volunteers, aged from 4 to 67 collected 18 sacks of litter.
