Chance to get job

BERNESLAI Homes are helping its unemployed tenants find work in the run up to Christmas.

Through the European Social Fund programme, tenants have access to daily job opportunity updates. Workers can also help tenants write job applications and support them with childcare costs.

Nikki Flett, the fund’s project manager, said: “Our team can really help to ease your worries and concerns about starting work. If you’re struggling with the cost of living, then our team can help you get a job.”

BARKING MAD: A bulldog walk to raise money for charity will take place next month. Held on November 6 at Manvers Lake, the first bulldog walk is set to take place from 10am. The 40-minute amble will offer walkers the chance to walk with others, whilst raising money for Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue. If you want to get involved, visit their dedicated Facebook page.
