Our mission is to provide the best possible care for the people of Barnsley at all stages of their life, so if you care about people, and care about Barnsley, there’s no better choice than to choose a career at Barnsley hospital. We have entry level positions in patient facing roles with a starting salary of £20,270, rising after two years in the role to £21,318. There are many options for working patterns, and we support flexible working arrangements as we understand people have caring responsibilities and other commitments outside of work. These roles are open to people with or without caring experience as we will provide training in a L2 Care Certificate which will support you to successfully undertake this important role. Following this there are many opportunities for on the job training which will then support career progression to Band 3 role if this would be of interest. We can even support you to progress to registered nurse training via the NHS apprentice route. You’ll get 27 days holiday, which rises to 29 days after five years, and up to 33 days after ten years’ service. And on top of this, you will also get eight public holidays each year. Everyone working for the NHS joins the NHS pension scheme, and at Barnsley Hospital we also offer additional benefits like free health and wellbeing support, access to electronics and even lease cars.
