Town league gets going

THE BARNSLEY League got underway this week, with Paralympic star Sue Bailey among the players.

Bailey won two singles matches in a 7-3 victory for new team Higham Warriors against Ace.

Ocean Bandits are the youngest team and made a good start with a 10-0 victory against the Spitfires.

The Nesbits could only field two players, in Joe Cutts and Jack Robinson, but were still too good for St Mary’s as they won 6-4. Ryhill started with a 10-0 loss away to BNE.
