U18s host Owls after losing 7-goal thriller

BARNSLEY under 18s host Sheffield Wednesday tonight from 7pm on the training pitches at Oakwell.

The young Reds lost 4-3 at Peterborough on Saturday, ending a four-match winning run.

They led three times through

Luis Lacey, Rafael Monteiro and Emmaisa Nzondo. They remain two points clear at the top of their league with a game in hand on the sides immediately below them.

Nicky Eaden’s side are also due to host Spennymoor in the FA Youth Cup next Friday from 7pm.

Barnsley under 21s lost 2-1 at home to Crewe Alexandra last Friday and are bottom of their league.

Theo Chapman scored a penalty.
