Ladies

At the meeting of Billingley Ladies group held on Monday in the Village Hall, Lynn Bembridge welcomed guest speaker Michael Fowler. Michael, a retired police officer who is an accomplished artist and writer of crime novels, gave a very interesting talk about his work. A vote of thanks were given by Lynn. Raffle winners were Eileen Bruce, Lindsey Zammito and Jenny Barnes. It was reported that 25 members are going for a Christmas meal at the Old Moor Tavern on December 5. The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 28 and will be a games evening.

Village Hall

Stephen Gay will illustrate a talk on his train journey from York to London Kings Cross. Admission is £3 and doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The knit and natter group meets every Tuesday at 2pm in the Village Hall and on Thursdays, coffee morning is from 10.30am and everyone is welcome.
