Driven mad

Mr Elliott, who wrote last week about elderly drivers, I presume is a man who considers himself a good driver.

I wonder if you are – with regard to your comments about over-75 drivers, the description you give of them is very insulting.

Obviously, you probably have had a bad experience at some point but in my experience the over-75 driver is very often a much better driver than younger drivers who fly about without any consideration of other road users.

Perhaps if you are going to make comments like that in future you should look at all age groups?
