Family fundraising event to go ahead
A FUNDRAISING event hosted by a family believed to be the only people in Barnsley with a rare and painful genetic condition will go ahead next month.
Robyn Horton and her children
Leo and Eva Sharp were all born with X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH), a metabolic condition characterised by low levels of phosphate in the blood causing brittle bones, bowed legs and pain throughout the body.
Robyn’s stepfather Chris set up the campaign ‘Leo’s Mission’ to share the family’s story.
■ Tickets are now on sale at the Wombwell Cemetery Hub for the raffle and buffet on December 21.
