Signage is up near new Evri site
NEW signs warning motorists of pedestrians crossing in Hoyland have been erected.
Thanks to work from Coun
David White, who represents the Rockingham ward, the signs were erected on Olympus Way – near to the new Evri mega hub – recently.
He said: “Sincere thanks to Andrew Tunnacliffe at Barnsley Council for his prompt response to residents requests for this urgent intervention, to Erika Clegg for her determination with this and other issues in the immediate area, and to Steve Bacon at REACH for letting me know that the first sign is in place. It really is heart-warming and satisfying for us all to work together in this way for the good of the community.”
