Amateur boxers pack a punch at home show

BOXERS from Wath Amateur Boxing Club starred on their home show at the Burlington WMC last weekend.

The recently-crowned national champion Hunter Lambert got another win under her belt as she saw off Olena Heagney with a unanimous decision.

A host of other fighters from the home club also got experience in the ring.

Leo Rodgers withdrew from his contest with Alfie Moore after feeling unwell.

Oliver Picton got the win for Wath. He won a tight contest against Jayden Allan.

Wath’s Joshua Coates got a stoppage win in the third round of his bout with Oscar Wall.

Tyler Weekes was also victorious. He saw off Charlee Williams on a split decision.

Dylan Brooks from Swinton ABC saw off Jude Gething of Wath unanimousl­y.

Logan Harrison from BODY Carnegie in Bolton-uponDearne was involved in a skills bout with Pincher Smith.

Joseph Donnelly, from Wath, had a skills bout against Denzel Kidby of Firth Park and Blake Rodgers of Wath was in action against Dominic Haydel.

BODY fighter Dylan Tansley was defeated by Layton Harley from Aspire.
