IT TAKES a particular callous sort of brute to punch and kick a dog, then continue the onslaught using a mop handle.

No mitigation for that, not even ‘I was in a dark place’. Yawn.

Doesn’t wash, mate, there’s no excuse for a prolonged attack on a dog, at home or in broad daylight.

Good old posties – thank you – reported seeing Bobby, a threeyear-old mastiff cross, being beaten by 23-yearold Adam Wardle in Wombwell, outside his former flat.

An RSPCA inspector found evidence of the attack on CCTV and Wardle was caught bang to rights.

The dog had, allegedly, messed in the house.
