Dodworth MW go top after another derby victory
DODWORTH MW went top of the
Premier Division at the weekend.
Dodworth beat Penistone Church reserves for the second time in a week, winning 2-1 away.
Since losing 1-0 at home to Wombwell Town on the opening day, they have won five and drawn one.
Wombwell Main thrashed South Kirkby 6-1.
Finley Durkin and Atley Jackson bagged braces with Kyle Brown and Jamie Knox also netting.
Wombwell Town drew 1-1 at home to Oughtibridge. Jordan Cooper netted.
North Gawber won 1-0 at home to Swinton Athletic who had two men sent off. Luke Marsden got the winner.
Silkstone United won 4-2 at Caribbean Sports in Division One.
Richard Dey scored twice with William Heath and Thomas Horsfield also on target.
Silkstone are second with five wins and two losses from their seven games so far.
Wombwell Main reserves won 6-3 at Swinton reserves. The scorers were Mitchell Haigh, twice, Jordan Bailey, Luis Ferreira, Jake Fenton and Matthew Love. It was their first win of the season.
